Missions

We have a mission and that mission is to share the Good News of God’s love with people both near and far. We are attempting to accomplish that mission at Bedford Presbyterian Church in a multitude of ways. These are some of our current missionary endeavors.

  • We encourage our members to invite their friends and neighbors to worship with us on Sunday mornings.

  • Deacon Ministry—Our deacons minister to the needs of our church family. They visit the sick and the homebound, prepare meals for families who find themselves in difficult circumstances and check on those who have recently been hospitalized or who are residents in care facilities. Upon request, they also share the Lord’s Supper with those who cannot attend our worship services. We support and participate in Bedford Christian Ministries. It provides food, clothing, household furnishings and financial assistance to families in need.

  • We help to prepare and serve free lunches at the Shepherd’s Table. This outreach mission takes place three days a week.

  • We maintain and help to support the Bedford Presbyterian Community Center which houses a number of organizations including a warming shelter in cold weather and a local Boy Scout Troop.

  • We open our facilities to various groups such as a cancer support group and Cub and Boy Scouts.

  • We support missionary endeavors around the world including Heart of Christ Children’s Home in Honduras and Operation Christmas Child of Samaritan’s Purse.
